Suggest Treatment For Upper Right Abdominal Pain
Hi I was feeling a slight pain in my upper right abdomen and no desire to eat, I got my LFT done and my bilirubin and some enzymes are elevated. S. TOTAL BILIRUBIN 1.29 mg/dl S. DIRECT BILIRUBIN 0.81 mg/dl S. INDIRECT BILIRUBIN 0.48 mg/dl SGPT (ALT) 796 U/L ALKALINE PHOSPHATASE 234 U/l GAMMA GT 398 U/I SGOT (AST) 816 U/I Now my main concern is a skin rash appearing on my face, neck and back, but mainly on my face. It is extremely itchy, I read about it and now understand that it s due to elevated liver enzymes. Please help me as to how can I reduce it and the itchy feeling?

Hi,
Your symptoms may be suggestive of gallbladder stones so you should do at least an ultrasound or CT scan to evaluate it more accurately. This is caused by stone in bile duct and is very common condition.
Stones are see more commonly in obese people and those with diabetes. You need to change your dietary habits first.
Need to avoid fried food, carbonated drinks, coffee, alcohol and spicy food. You should eat more milk products, vegetables and boiled food.
If there is no improvement on lifestyle or dietary changes, then surgery is recommended. Other causes include pancreatitis or pleurodynia and should be considered if gallbladder stones are ruled out.
