I understand your concern. Chronic urticaria is a big challenge for doctors because it is hard to achieve the right treatment. As I can see your doctor has given you antihistamines and steroids which is a common therapy. Sometimes it is necessary to take antihistamines for a longer period, so try to discuss with your GP to prolong you this therapy. I alslo see that he gave you second generation antihistamines, and sometimes if they don't help, first generation antihistamines are prescrpted, but with these antihistamines you have to be cautious. These antihistamines can make you drowsy and impair your ability to drive or perform other tasks that require physical coordination. For that reason, your doctor may recommend that you take this type of antihistamine before bedtime and switch to a second-generation drug during the daytime.
You didn't mention if you did an allergic testing because the best therapy is to find the trigger, an allergen, which provoces these symptoms.
I hope this answer was helpful to you.
