Suggest Treatment For Uterine Fibroid Along With Heavy Vaginal Bleeding

Hi ..I am 38 years old and have two kids of 8 and 6 years old. I have been experiencing heavy bleeding during my periods and also my period days have been now extended from 4-5 days to 9-10 days. My Pelvic Sonography showed a 6 cm right posterior hyperechoic well defined intramural fibroid . It is vascular. It indents and displaces endometrial echo. Please let me know is it possible to treat this with medicines ? Can we prevent its further growth ? Can we dissolve this fibroid without any surgery ? If surgery is a must, then can we remove only this fibroid without removing the Uterus ?
