Suggest Treatment For Vaginal Dryness

I certainly hope so. I have been unable to achieve penetration with my significant other. I am 64 and postmenopausal. I have a problem with sexual dryness. I also have a retroverted uterus. My partner and I are both very short (I am 5 and he is 5 3 ). It has been a couple of years now that we have been trying and this is getting frustrating. He says it doesn t matter but I feel really bad about the situation. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hello,

You are in the post menopausal phase and are experiencing vaginal dryness. Post menopausal phase is a normal phase through which every woman has to go through. No worries. You are suggested to use vaginal moisturizers and good quality lubricants that provide short-term moisture to the vagina. Avoid the use of perfumed soaps or lotions near the vagina.

Take food rich in Omega -3 fatty acids or supplements. It will help to reduce vaginal dryness, increase estrogen levels, increasing female lubrication during menopause. Using local estrogen or DHEA inserted directly into the vagina enhances sexual function. It helps to improve female lubrication and reduce dryness.Take food rich in vitamin E (Evion-400 caps). It helps improve lubrication. You can also use vitamin E based cream or ointment locally as a suppository.

However, you are suggested to get clinically examined by an OBGYN to detect any hormonal problems, thyroid dysfunction, calcium deficiency, etc. You will have to get few tests and investigations done. You will be accordingly treated. Take home made nutritious diet, adequate sleep, stay active, stay away from stress, anxiety and addictions if any,

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
