Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
WHAT TREATMENT AN BE USED FOR VAGINAL ECZEMA? I AM CURRENTLY USING A CREAM CALLED COBETASOL WHICH IS A HEAVY STERIOD. I HAVE BEEN ON THIS CREAM FOR ABOUT 4 WEKSS AND IT IS NOT HELPING AT ALL I AM AWAY FROM HOME PROVINE FOR ANOTHER MONTH NEED SOMETHING TO TRY TO SETTLE THIS DOWN. ANY SUGGESTIONS?
The very first thing to do is to determine if this is really vaginal eczema. You need to run dermatoscopy, skin scrapping examination and vaginal swab testing for that. Meanwhile, Clobetasole is a potent steroid used to treat inflammation. If it is not helping then it means, you need to get rechecked by gynecologist and run the above mentioned tests to determine the right diagnosis. You might need other treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
