Suggest Treatment For Vaginal Infection

I accidentally used a warming massage product that contained lactic acid as a vaginal lubricant during intercourse. I think I may have burned areas up near my cervix and vaginal walls. I then developed ulvers all over and was diagnosed with Herpes- which my husbands previous wife had, but he has not had an episode for 15 years. Im on Valtrex twice daily, but we are worried that their is infection also. I keep having a mucous, slimy colored discharge from that area . im so scared and have no one to clarify thee things with!
