Suggest Treatment For Vaginal Itching During Pregnancy

Hi I am 9 months pregnant and two weeks ago I cut myself pretty bad I think right in the curve of the top of the vagina I went to the er (never saw blood) had itching and they scared me by saying herpes. I saw my gyno and they did the hsv type one and two tests and the genital one came up negative and he said it was just cuts up there. They did find I have a bv and now a yeast infection which I m starting the creme this evening for seven days. Looking at a way to heal the cuts quickly , I m assuming the pain and not going away is from the itching of the yeast infection.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Continue the treatment for bacterial vaginosis and yeast infection as prescribed. Keep the area clean and dry. You can take Cetirizine at bedtime to help with itching. Once the inflammation and infection subside, the cuts will also heal fast. Please address any more questions or concerns here.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal
