Suggest Treatment For Vaginal Pain And Itching

My daughter has a very red vaginal area and complains of itching and pain. She also has a lot of accidents she says she can t control it. We checked for uti and that was negative but she has a large clitoris and I m wondering if the pain is some other sensation that she cannot describe. She flinches and gets very upset when I try to clean her but if she does it she is fine. Plz help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your daughter's problem can be due to yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis. A swab test will be helpful to rule out the condition. For yeast infection i would suggest using clotrimazole cream for local application. In case of bacterial vaginosis I would recommend using clindamycin and clotrimazole as vaginal suppository or as oral tablets. Using intimate wash daily also will be helpful to normalize vaginal bacterial flora and PH. A consultation with gynecologist is well appreciated.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
I find this answer helpful
