Suggest Treatment For Vaginal Scabies With Severe Itching
I m not sure if I have scabies or where I might have gotten them from but I m sure I have it. I don t have enough money to go to the doctor. So what can I do to get rid of it or at least make it stop itching. And also is it possible for scabies to exist on the clitorious or just the outside of the vagina. I ve gotten two different answers.
Based on the history you have shared, it seems less likely as only local itching or pruritus raises doubts of local inflammatory causes rather than scabies.
If you have itching elsewhere or is associated with burrows or rashes over body elsewhere the suspicion of scabies is likely but not with the history you mentioned.
You should get a dermatologist review for any local tinea or fungal infection and local anti fungal like clotrimazole as well as anti histamines like cetrizine or loratidine may be helpful. Keeping the place dry and clean must be ensured.
Less likely the possibility of sexually transmitted infections or any genitourinary infection may be needed to be ruled out if problem persists.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
