General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You have a history of varicose veins. You are suggested to get physically examined by a physician to assess the degree & severity of your varicose veins.

If there is any evidence of blood clot, USG may be required to detect if the valves have normal functioning.

Sclerotherapy (Foam sclerotherapy for bigger veins) & Laser therapy is the treatment of choice. Other treatments may include high ligation & vein stripping. Ambulatory Phlebectomy & radiofrequency ablation.

Avoid standing for a long time, maintain weight as per BMI, do regular exercises, keep the foot elevated & ear compression stockings.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
