Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
A friend of mine seems to have vertigo episodes, only when needed to help out, work attend a function she doesn t want to attend, etc. How can we be sure she really is having an episode. It seems so obvious that she is ALWAYS available to do what she wants and not dizzy at that time. Curious??
There is no way of determining if your friend is having an episode or not.
Vertigo is the sensation of movement relative to your environment (feeling of you or the environment spinning). May be accompanied by nausea or vomiting in some cases. This means that when episode occurs a person may be unsteady, also may have nausea and vomiting.
I hope this helps
