Hello Doctor, I am 20 years of age.My weight is 60 kgs and height is 5 feet 4 inches.From 4 years i am suffering from vitiligo.i have tried a lot many ointments but no use.I donot have patches on my skin but it has badly effected my lips especially the lower lip.My lip often gets dry,pale and looks very white in colour. In the initial stages of my treatement,i used some medicines for which i lost my hair.Right now i am just using homeopathi but even its not working. this is not a genetic disorder.none of my family members have this.i am very much worried seeing my lip. Please give me some suggestions.

THere are multiple types of vitiligo and requires treatment according to site an extent of involvement.
In your kind of cases I generally prescribe a low potency steroid such as fluticasone or hydrocortisone and then after improvement I shift it to lowest potency steroid creams such as Desonide.
I also suggest to give PUVA therapy or application of decapeptide solution with beta fibroblast growth factors in liquid form over the affected area of the lip.
