Hello, I understand your concern for Vitiligo or white skin disease. It is a skin problem where the color giving cells are damaged and are not able to produce proper color to match with normal color of the skin. The resulting condition is manifested as slight decreased pigmentation. It then slowly and finally progresses to complete white skin problem. There are multiple types of oral and topical treatments or combination treatment available to take care of the vitiligo. It depends on the stage of the disease and extent of involvement. I prefer a wide range of treatment such as topical lotions containing steroids and oral steroids to halt the activity of progression. For improving the color I prefer to give certain medications with Psoralens as main content. The treatment should only be started by an experienced dermatologist and you must have good patience of multiple of months to see the visible results. All the best.
