Hi , my 11 month old son was sick on Saturday night was vomiting all night , and had diarrhea the next day . he did get a lot better , but I notice him very sleep , yesterday he slept 12 hours for bedtime , then took two 2 hour naps . he also is drinking very few liquids .. But he is eating his food , should I be worried about dehydration ? Should I take him into the emergency room ?

Dehydration in children is a common problem. You can give him plenty of fluids as milk or any other juices or water. Due to vomiting and diarrhea he can have dehydration. An emergency condition is when your child is having: ●Vomiting ●Diarrhea ●Loss of appetitie ●Unable to take feed ●Drowsy ●Inactive If these symptoms persist for a day or two you have to take him to the hospital.
I hope this answered your question, and if you have more please feel free to ask.
Regards.
