General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.

Noted the history about cervical vertebral fusion, pain in neck, burning throat and throbbing too, choking in sleep and so on as your have mentioned in details.
The most probable causes I can think about are as follows:
IF the present problem that you mentioned did not start with the problems or surgery related to the cervical spine then I would advise you to consult an ENT Surgeon first to evaluate you clinically, have ENT Endoscopy to know whether the problem is related to nose, sinuses, respiratory system.
IF yes then further investigations and proper management will help you to get a proper relief.
IF the problem looks to be related to the cervical spine and its surgery then a Neurosurgeon can evaluate the problems well and give management accordingly.
Since this is a complicated case you should consult the Specialists only.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
