Your son seems to be suffering from any of the following:
1) Acute exacerbation of asthma
2) Severe acute bronchitis
3) Acute respiratory infection
4) Pneumonia
5)
COPD or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
6) Congestive cardiac failure
Your son needs the following:
1) Thorough clinical examination in person
2) Chest X-ray
3) Blood investigations like blood counts, ear
Treatment is mostly based on symptoms.
1)
Nebulizer therapy to relieve
wheezing, bronchospasm
2)
Oxygen to improve blood oxygen levels
3) Any antibiotic to treat infection if any.
4) Tab.
Ondansetron 4 mg to prevent or treat vomiting
5) Fluids with salt and sugar as he is losing plenty of fluids and electrolytes in the form of vomiting.
He requires hospital admission and treatment.
