Anesthesiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your son seems to be suffering from any of the following:
1) Acute exacerbation of asthma
2) Severe acute bronchitis
3) Acute respiratory infection
4) Pneumonia
5) COPD or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
6) Congestive cardiac failure

Your son needs the following:
1) Thorough clinical examination in person
2) Chest X-ray
3) Blood investigations like blood counts, ear

Treatment is mostly based on symptoms.
1) Nebulizer therapy to relieve wheezing, bronchospasm
2) Oxygen to improve blood oxygen levels
3) Any antibiotic to treat infection if any.
4) Tab. Ondansetron 4 mg to prevent or treat vomiting
5) Fluids with salt and sugar as he is losing plenty of fluids and electrolytes in the form of vomiting.

He requires hospital admission and treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
