Suggest Treatment For Warts On The Penis

Hello Doctor, I ve a wart on the left side, just above my penis since 1990. Over the years it has grown slightly & as of lately the skin at the base of my penis, below the groin area & the skin in between my genitals are itchy. Why the sudden activation after all these years. I ve only seen the doctor once & the medicine didn t help but that was at the height of this wart. So what should I do now please?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

A topical cream can remove most genital warts.

Trichloroacetic or bichloroacetic acid to treat warts.

You'll apply a small amount to warts once a week and allow it to dry.

It works best on small, moist warts and can be used on penile warts.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
