Suggest Treatment For Weakness, Pain And Swelling In Foot In Polio Patient

I HAD POLIO IN 1943. THE LINGERING AFFECTS ARE SOME PARALYSIS OF MY LEFT FOOT WHICH IS ALSO 2 SHOE SIZES SMALLER THAN MY RIGHT. I HAVE EXPERIENCED LEFT FOOT SWELLING ON AND OFF FOR MANY YEARS, USUALLY AFTER EXERCISING, E.G. WALKING, RUNNING. I m 78. VERY RECENTLY, I EXPERIENCED AND STILL EXPERIENCE, EXTREME SWELLING WITH SOME CORRESPONDING PAIN ASSOCIATED WITH THIS LEFT FOOT. THE RIGHT FOOT IS UNAFFECTED. YOUR THOUGHTS?

I really appreciate your concern, the swelling in left foot which is affected by poliomyelitis could be due to blood circulation disturbances, try to keep the leg in elevated position, to know the normal circulation if it is there or not Doppler study is must, else this is nothing to worry, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
