Suggest Treatment For Weight Gain And Diabetes Due To PCOD

I am 37 yrs old, overweight and have type 2 diabetes as a result of PCOS. I recently gave birth to a healthy boy who is 3 months old. I had a wonderful pregnancy, no complications, felt wonderful! Had plenty of energy for the most part until the 3rd trimester when lack of sleep b/c of frequent urination during the night caught up to me. However, I have recently noticed that my knee joints feel stiff upon standing after sitting for an extended time (I have a job that requires 8 hours of computer work a day). Could this be related to my pregnancy as my body recuperates?

Hi
Dr. Purushottam welcomes you to HCM virtual clinic!
Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully gone through your case, and I think I have understood your concern. I will try to address your medical concerns and would suggest you the best of the available treatment options.
1] Congratulations for having blessed with a bundle of JOY.
2] Actually PCOS is a lifestyle disorder. So is TYPE 2 Diabetes.
3] Now let's consider life style modifications to control these disorders.
4] Indulge in a healthy diet pattern and regular exercise. As you said you have sitting job,try to move out after every hour in office - say for drinking water or stroll around.
5]Include plenty of fruits, salads, vegetables in the diet. Avoid deep fried foods, bakery products, refined sugars.
6] Follow treatment of diabetes meticulously.
7] Use tab. Primolut N twice a day for 5 days from day 21 to25 of every cycle to help regularise menses.
I hope my answer helps you.
Thanks.
Wish you great health.
