Suggest Treatment For Weight Loss And Red Spot On Chin
My 17 year old son who is very overweight has a large red baseball size spot on his chin, he says he has been sick with headache, he says this has happened before but never told me, do u know if this is serious and what kind of dr can I take him to. He needs weight loss help desperately
The red spot on chin is not of much clinical significance as there can be many benign conditions responsible for the same, but associated weight loss if of bit major concern and must be evaluated in details. Two possibilities sound here as: - Chronic inflammation - Auto immune response to underlying pathology of some sort. I would recommend to consult a physician for primary evaluation of general parameters, basic lab tests and if he or she thinks to be of requirement, a biopsy of red spot on the chin may be a future need of medical evaluation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
