Suggest Treatment For White Discharge From Genitals

Hi,



I am having white discharge from my genitals from this morning and its also painful for urinating. I am suspecting it as gonorrhea. Is there a cure for it, will general physition be a right dorctor for this or any specialist should be consulted.

Thank you for query.the presence of white discharge with painful urination indicate infection and may be due to STDs Urethritis or UTI.It is more likely Bacterial infection gonococcal or non gonococcal.You may need a course of antibiotic like Azithromycin 500mg twice daily for 5- 7 days.drink plenty of water and fluids.treat the partner also with the antibiotics course simultaneously otherwise there are chances of recurrence.avoid intercourse until symptoms subside totally.Use protective like condoms.You can consult Venereologist and go for STDs tests if not done.You can get back for any clarifications with details.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and venereologist
