Suggest Treatment For White Patch Of Skin On Back

sir, my son, new born 3 months baby having a white patch on back, need to check up with doctor in next week, my own brother s son is having vitiligo problem he is 1.5years baby. im very tensed about my son please help me sir... my question is 1) if it is vitiligo spot it can curable or not? 2) doctor can decide or confirm whether it is vitiligo or not in first visit? 1. Rounded,hypopigmented patch over backis uaually due to tinea versicolor (vitiligo is characterized by complete depigmemtation and not hypopigmentation)

2. Consult with a child specialist who will go for thorough examination (since there is history of vitiligo) and may go for skin biopsy.

. If sensation is there vitiligo spot is curable (if it comes out to be)

. Doctor may ask for further necessary investigation to diagnose the same, but in first visit most probably it will be simple infection or physiological .

3. Since he is only 3 months thus avoid applying any ointment,
. Use oilated soap like dove
. Apply moisturiser cream nor coconut oil
. Patch resolve on their own but after several months
