Suggest Treatment For White Spots On The Tonsils And Ear Pain

I have 2 small red bumps and 1 white bump on the side of my tongue near the back of the month. plus a white spot on my tonsil with slight ear pain mainly when talking alot or when I eat citrus. Had a throat culture that was negative. Had these symptons for 2 weeks. Has gotten a little better the last 3 days but still there. Doctor gave me amox clav and zithromax but doesn t seem to be doing much since it seem to still be there in my month and tonsil. it is only one tonsil and only that side has a swollen gland.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain small red and white spots over the tongue can be due to swollen tongue papillae while can also be due to formation of canker sores..

Secondly pain in throat along with white spot and earache can be due to infection in throat and pain in ear can be due to ear infection or can be a radiating pain from throat as throat and ear are connected via Eustachian tube..

The white spot can be a pus pocket while it can also be a tonsil stone..
I would suggest you to continue taking antibiotics but along with it take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen to relieve sore throat and earache and also do warm saline gargles..
Do antiseptic mouthwash gargles..
