Suggest Treatment For Wound On Knee After Injury

my mom said that my bruise would heal within about 3 days, and she has been in the medical field for over 30 years... it STILL hasn't healed or progressed in healing. my right knee got hit on the corner of my REALLY hard dining table, and still hasn't showed any sign of healing. will it get better?
