Suggest Treatment For Yeast Infection In Vagina And Groin

I just finished a prescription of antibiotics for a sinus infection. I now have a vaginal yeast infection that is also in the groin area ( red, itchy, burning ). I bought a 3 day otc med and tonight is the third night. It is helping the vaginal area but not the groin area. Is there an otc med for that or should I call my doctor?

Hi

Vaginal infection whether caused by yeast or bacteria should be confirmed since treatment differs. You have not mentioned the otc drug that you have been taking for the infection.

Vaginal candidiasis causes curdy white discharge and is usually treated with clotrimazole or fluconazole tablet.Local application of clotrimazole cream can also be beneficial.Confirmation of diagnosis is essential.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
