Suggest Treatment Of Terrible Stomachache

I woke up in the middle of the night with a terrible stomachache. After eating Mcdonalds for dinner last night. I had a vegetarian wrap and a salad. I feel like I m going to throw up and I ve already had to go to the restroom a few times. Is their anything I could take to make the pain go away?

Hi, thanks for using healthcaremagic

You can use Tylenol to help with pain relief. It would be best to avoid the NSAIDs family of medication because these may irritate your stomach eg ibuprofen, cataflam, naproxen etc.

In addition treatment consists of:(1) holding off solid food till there is a 4 hour window with no symptoms. When this break occurs restart with a small amount of dry food.
(2) using sips of fluids to replace any fluid lost
(3) ) Probiotics - these help shorten the course. Can use probiotics on their own or in certain yogurt
(4) medications like peptobismol or dramamine would also help as well

I hope this helps
