Suggest Treatment Of Verorab Shots

my motherhad been given preexposure subcutaneous shots of verorab last year. when should be the next booster shot? i heard some got theirs after 3 yrs other after 2 yrs and then someone told her yearly. which is true? she breeds dogs so anti rabies vaccines are important to her.
