Suggest Treatment Option For Tardive Dyskinesia In Elederly
I am experiencing repetitive tongue movements. I am a 66 year old wjite female, married, retired RN. I have ADHD with anxiety. My meds are amphetamine XR 60 mg QD, sertraline 150 mg QD, alprazolam 0.5mg bid prn, levothyroxine 88 mcg QD and simvastatin 20 mg QD . I look forward to your response. Dee K.

I studied your case and amphetamine may be causing tardive dyskinesia,it should be gradually withdrawn and substituted or withdrawn if your doctor agrees.initially caffeine may be substituting , but best is to consult neurologist/psychiatrist. caffeine in coffee is good
