Suggest Treatment Other Than Surgery For Hole In Ear
hi i am having a hole in my ear drum since 10 to 15 years for which some times i get discharge and pain in the ear which i take medicines by the doctors i am 51 years of age and my weight is 77 kgs height 5.5 inches. Doctors has advised for surgery but i want to know whether i can go for treatment without a surgery and get it cured fully by just medicines taken orally. what do u suggest. thanks

Hi,
If there is smal hole on ear drum, it can be healed with antibiotic medicines
or application of some chemical on the hole.
But if hole is big then you might require Tympanoplasty.
Consult ENT specialist and get examined.
He will decide about plan of treatment.
Avoid redcurrant infection in the ears.
Ok and take care.
