Hi,

The symptoms you describe, such as red and itchy welts on the feet that appear suddenly, may indicate an allergic reaction or an insect bite. If you have ruled out the possibility of insect bites, you may be experiencing contact dermatitis, which is a skin condition caused by contact with an irritant or allergen.

To treat the welts, you can try the following:
- Wash the affected area with cool water and mild soap to help reduce itching and inflammation.
- Apply a cool compress or ice pack to the affected area to help relieve itching and swelling.
- Avoid scratching the affected area, as this can lead to infection and make the condition worse.
- Apply a topical cream or ointment containing hydrocortisone to the affected area to help reduce itching and inflammation.
- If the itching is severe, you can take an antihistamine medication, such as diphenhydramine (Benadryl), to help reduce itching and inflammation.

If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen over time, it is important to see a doctor for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. Your doctor may prescribe a stronger topical cream or oral medication to help alleviate your symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi,

It is possible that the red and itchy welts on your feet and hands could be caused by an allergic reaction. It could be a reaction to something you have come in contact with such as a new soap, detergent, lotion, or shoe material. It could also be an insect bite or an allergic reaction to food or medication. In certain cases, the symptom may be of a more serious condition.

To treat the welts, you can try taking an over-the-counter antihistamine such as Benadryl to reduce itching and inflammation. You can also apply a cool compress to the affected area or use a topical corticosteroid cream to reduce inflammation. Avoid scratching the welts as this can make the itching worse and increase the risk of infection.

If the welts persist or become worse, or if you develop other symptoms such as difficulty breathing or swelling of the lips or tongue, it is important to seek medical attention promptly. Your doctor can perform tests to determine the cause of the welts and prescribe appropriate treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
