Suggest Treatment Required For The Following Chest X-ray Results

My mother s chest x ray shows : Heterogeneous opacities shown scattered both lungs , suggestive of inflammatory change. Costophrenic angles are clear. Cardiothoracic ratio is within normal limits. Diaphragmatic area is within normal limits. P.s.: She is a non smoker and has no breathing problem.

Hello.
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I have gone through your query and I can understand your comcerns.

As a treating physician I can tell you that the X-ray looks almost normal. The heterogeneous opacity suggest the possiblty of inflammatory changes as in pneumonia.
You can continue her current treatment plan which might include antibiotics.
You can take a repeat X-ray probably after two weeks and in most cases the X-ray would revert to normal.
If the opacities persist after weeks I suggest you to consult a pulmonologist and get a CT scan done to rule out other diseases.
Hope this information helps
Regards.
