Suggest Treatment Swelling And Soreness On Ankle

I twisted my ankle when i was a bit drunk a week ago, i remember it hurting badly at the time but walked home with it anyway. The next day it wasn't discoloured but EXTREEMLY sore and swollen. a week later it is still swollen, but not as bad.. tiney bit of light green bruising in parts, i can walk on it fine. But it is constantly aching, even in the morning when it has been elevated all night and is extreemly tender to touch. is this normal?
