Suggest Treatment That Help Relieve Pain In The Hip

The pain in my hip started suddenly. It s very painful . It s on the side of my hip. I can t lay on it ,walking is difficult. I have had ra for 27 years. Never a hip issue till now. What can I do to relieve pain . I am currently taking Celebrex twice a day Xelljanz twice a day and methotrexate.i m do for shot of methotrexate tomorrow Is this bursitis and what can I do to help it?

Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to bursitis. I suggest using nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen or Naproxen to relieve pain and swelling. You also may want to use an ice pack on the area to reduce swelling. If the symptoms continue, you should see an orthopedist.
