Suggest Treatment To Attain An Ideal Weight For My 5-year-old Daughter
Hello My newly five year old active and lively daughter is very petite. She is 39 3/4 inches tall and 32.9 pounds. She has asthma and was sick a lot this past fall and winter requiring 3 rounds of steroids and was placed on Dulera 100/5mcg twice daily February 2016 and is still currently taking the Dulera. I recently visited her pediatrician regarding her height and weight and he is not concerned. I can t help but feel nervous knowing she was at the 45th percentile for her weight and 50th percentile her height according to the nurse at age 3. She is now in the 8th percentile for height and 6th for weight. What would u recommend I do?
* She requires balanced nutritious diet with all essential elements as vitamins, minerals, protein, fatty acids, lipid, trace elements, green leafy vegetables, cereals, pulses, legumes in proper proportions.
* I would like to concern an expert dietician and nutritional therapy specialist for the best guidance of the menu.
* Avoidance of dairy fat, junk foods are best recommended for her.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
