Suggest Treatment To Control Blood Pressure

Ive been treated for high blood pressure for the past few months trying different combinations of drugs to help me. I have settled with my current meds but BP still running 133/85. Im going to ask my dr if she has ever tested my thyroid the next time I see her. Throughout all of this I have a pain/strain/tenderness in the front of my throat, front right side. She had my carotid artery scanned to make sure there wasnt a blockage...and there wasnt anything. My question....would an issue with my thyroid give me the discomfort in my throat?
