Dear Sir, I having sugar tablet PIOGLIT 15mg. Fasting blood glucose level is between 90 to 100 mg/dl for the past three months. If i reduce the tablet dose as half PIOGLIT ,i have got grideneess .So shall i continue the same tablet or what should i do?
you seem to be under control regarding your blood glucose levels. 90 to 100 mg/dL is absolutely great. Pioglitzone alone is not supposed to cause hypoglycemia to you and provided that you have no side effects from its use then continuing the same dosage is adviced. I don't know what do you mean by "grideneess" but there's no reason from your description that warrants the need for a lower dosage. A glucosylated hemoglobin is a better way to assess blood glucose control. You should do this test at least once a year, if your blood glucose is near normal or even every three months if your blood glucose gets out of control. I hope you have a clear idea about your situation now! If you need further explanations, please let me know and I'll be glad to provide them.
Kind Regards!
