My scabs are finally falling and I m able to talk better but this coughing is killing me. They keep saying avoid coughing but not saying how. What should I do?

HI.
The removal of Pharyngeal tonsils and adenoids has its own problems
Ideally there should not have been any coughing after this surgery.
One has to find why ... The probable cause can be a postnasal drip, irritating scab , mat be the room you are staying in has allergens causing irritation cough. The best treatment is to continue the antibiotic and anti-allergic medicines. Cough syrup like Benedryl helps. Also helps is to take sips of water as frequently to sooth the throat as possible.
