Suggest Treatment To Expel Foreign Body From Lung

Thanks a lot. My daughter 13-year old has a chronic cough . Tests indicate there is some foreign body in the lower part of the left lung. I s it possible to cure her without operation? by the way, all kind of treatment including high dose anti-biotic courses have failed in the past. She occassionally gets fever and is much weaker than her age.

Hello
Foreign body in the lower lobe of left lung causes excruciating cough . These are possibilities , these include:
1 Bronchoscopy by an expert ( laryngoscopy ) will clear the foreign body from lung 2 Sometimes turn the patient upside down and tap the back of chest with gentle taps , sometimes this can expel inhaled things from lungs .
3 Surgery is the last option . In my opinion consult a pulmonologist and get his opinion.
Hope this will help you.
