Suggest Treatment To Get Rid Of Dark Lips

I am an indian. I am dusky and I m really fed up of my skin, i don t want to apply any kind of steroidal application on my face. I have already tried those natural products, but nothing worked. In between, i would like to tell you that I have genetically dark lips and i have already tried all the remedies possible but nothing worked too. Don t recommend any natural products because they don t work. tell me something that can actually change my complexion and can help me in gaining self confidence.

Understanding your concern.

As per your query you have lip hyper pigmentation . The treatment of lip pigmentation depending upon the right choice of medical treatment according to your skin. As you mention that you have already tried steroid cream and all natural products . The steroids are beneficial initially but they do harm to the skin in long run because of there side effects .

I would suggest you to :-

- Apply lip balm containing broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 to protect your lips from further darkening due to UV rays of sun.

- Apply kojic acid cream twice a day which is mushroom extract and very effective for skin pigmentation and safe for long term use .

- Apply topical retinoids like teritenoin for good results at night .

If condition persist after 1 month then consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may recommend you procedure like microdermabrassion and chemical peeling .
