Suggest Treatment To Get Rid Of Facial Hairs

hi doctor i am kalsoom, i am 23 year old...i have too much facial hairs and they become increase day by day...after threading they grow within few hours.due to it i decrease my confidence in public..last month i consulted a dermatologist, he suggested me cyprodiol tablets for reduction of facial hairs...but after reading the leaflet of this tablets i am not satisfied to take this medicine.please guide me that is it save for me or have on side effects???kindly help me in my problem and suggest me something else..thank you

Excessive facial hairs is called as hirsutism.

It could indicate an underlying hormonal disorder like polycystic ovarian disease.

You need to get a hormonal evaluation done to rule this out. If abnormal, it needs to be treated.

For the excessive hairs, I would suggest you to undergo laser hair reduction. This is done once in 4- 6 weeks for 8- 10 times or till the hair density reduces to a minimum.

Cryproterone acetate ( the tablet prescribed for you) could have some side effects and is used for hormonal problems. Do review with your doctor if you have further doubts.
