Hi...
Thanks for your query..
Menstrual cycles can cease in young nonpregnant women with no demonstrable abnormalities of the brain, pituitary, or ovary in several situations like psychogenic,
anorexia nervosa and exercise induced etc.
Exercise-induced
amenorrhea may be a variant of psychogenic amenorrhea or may result from loss of body fat. This is functional hypothalamic amenorrhea.. For menses, Minimum body fat and weight is required... Can tell me what is your daughter body weight?
Excessive exercise and psychogenic amenorrhea can have adverse effects because of the associated
estrogen deficiency and accompanying
osteopenia.
For this, better to
consult Endocrinologist.. Doctor will examine your daughter and decide accordingly..
But nothing to worry, go and consult Endocrinologist for further treatment..
I hope that i have solved your query...
Kindly get back to me if you have any further issue regarding this..
