Suggest Treatment To Reduce The Phlegm In Chest Along With Dry Cough

I have a dry cough and can feel phlegm in my chest. I am wheezing a bit and feel as if I m congested. I was treated with K-pac about 2-3 months ago for the same symptoms, in which my doctor tested me for bronchitis and came back negative. What my be my health issue and what can I take to loosen the phlegm to produce a more productive cough?

You have not mentioned whether there is any kind of difficulty in breath or any presence of fever or any kind of chest pain. Persistent cough for more than 14days needs early morning sputum examination. You have to be suspicious if there is presence of night sweats or loss of body weight.
You may take antibiotics effective to upper respiratory tract infections like coamoxiclav625 three times daily for 5days. A cough syrup along with mucolytic properties will help to getting cured from your symptoms.
