General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

First of all, irregular periods must be evaluated for the underlying cause with polycystic ovarian syndrome or other hormone disturbances as Insulin resistance or others. Though taking hormone preparations will give you transient benefits, but without diagnosis of underlying cause, you will not be cured for the condition. Kindly consult your OBGYN for the ultrasound evaluation of abdomen & pelvis for further guidelines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
