Suggest Treatment To The Skin On The Face Damaged Due To Burn

i got burns from steam of a cooker. My chest has blisters while on the face, nose s skin was peeled a little bit an d skin near the lips and chin is getting brown/ darker in colour. Can i apply soframycin or silverex? Will those help me on my face as the skin on face is sensative. Thanks in advance.

Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic

You can apply any topical OTC antibiotic like either framycetin (soframycin), mupirocin or silver suphadiazine (silverex), twice daily, till the dead skin peels off and further 2-3 days.
The goal of applying a topical antibacterial is to prevent secondary bacterial contamination and ensure that the wound stays healthy as it healing.
