Suggest Treatment When Diagnosed With Prostate Cancer
Hi, my father at age 68 was diagnosed with prostate cancer a few month ago at 4.8 PSA, GLEASON LEVEL 3+4 ,T2a, He had DLBCL a few years ago which he completely recovered, but he is very afraid and doesn t want to go back to the doctor, How important is it for him to go see a doctor to see if and how to treat it.?
Hello thank you for writing us here. Prostate cancer results in the obstruction of the urethra and if not treated, it results into urinary tract infection and incomplete emptying of bladder or in severe cases, rupture of bladder. The treatment includes surgical removal of prostrate. Its done by inserting catheter and removing the gland by suction. There are medications which may give relief but I would suggest you to see your GP for best prognosis and management. God bless you
Best regards, Dr Gunjan
