Suggest Treatment Whole Body Pain And Weakness

My arms and legs hurt when I or someone else touches them. Its only in different areas. Right now my knee feels like there is a rubber band around it and my circulation is being cut off. My kids touch my upper arms or shoulders and it hurts. The muscles in my back often burn. What could be causing me to hurt so bad? I have been taking magnesium supplements but doesn t seem to help. .

Hi,

There are several possible causes of whole-body pain and weakness, including fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, autoimmune disorders, and vitamin deficiencies. Given the widespread pain you are experiencing, fibromyalgia is a possibility. Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition that causes widespread pain, tenderness, and fatigue throughout the body. It can also cause other symptoms, such as headaches, sleep disturbances, and cognitive problems.

Another possibility is chronic fatigue syndrome, which can cause widespread pain and fatigue, as well as other symptoms such as headaches, joint pain, and difficulty concentrating. Autoimmune disorders, such as rheumatoid arthritis or lupus, can also cause whole-body pain and weakness.

Vitamin deficiencies, such as vitamin D or B12 deficiency, can also cause muscle pain and weakness. I would recommend scheduling an appointment with your healthcare provider to discuss your symptoms and undergo further evaluation. Your healthcare provider may recommend additional tests, such as blood work or imaging studies, to determine the underlying cause of your symptoms.

In the meantime, it's important to practice good self-care, such as getting enough rest, staying hydrated, and engaging in gentle exercise to help manage your symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
