good afternoon doctor. i am in big trouble .plz help.19 year old student suffering from grade 2 varicocele and left spermatic cord is bulky in size ,thickened measuring 2.5 cm

edematous. what harmful effects it can have.. plz need a suggestion help

Varicocele is usually idiopathic I.e. without any obvious cause.If left for a long time without any treatment , it may cause decreased spermatogenesis on that side. Occasionally it may be associated with renal tumour on the corresponding side.For the time being have scrotal support and consult your doctor.Treatment is Surgery.
