Suggest Treatments For Lost Vision Due To Damaged Brain Cells

Sir,
My father suffered a stroke last february which partially paralysed his right side and resulted in complete loss of vision. The MRI and CT SCAN show white patches in the brain. His ophthamologist declared his eyes to be perfectly normal and connected the vision loss to damaged brain and nerve cells. Please advice the correct line of treatment and the chances of normal vision.

Hello
It seems from the history that your father has suffered loss of vision because of damage to the brain cells following stroke.
This indicates that probably your father is having loss of vision because of damage to the optic nerve.
Optic nerve is the only cranial nerve in the body which cannot regenerate once damaged, hence if it is caused by optic nerve damage the chances of vision improvement are very less.
If the partial loss of vision is there then further loss of vision can be prevented by treatment of the underlying cause.

Thank you
