Suggest Treatments For Pain Due To An Extra Bone Growth Behind The Knee

i am 19, and 5 foot 7.i have a bone that sticks out under my knee, it hurts a lot. ever since grade school i can remember having it and no i am in college and the problem is still here, i cannot even workout my legs without having major pains. any help please?
