Suggest Tretament For Severe Congestion And Cough
I have had a cough for a few weeks now but, as I live in Germany and don t have health insurance, it is not easy for me to go to the doctor. My cough gets worse after it rains and is accompanied by shortness of breathe as well as a yellow resdue in my throat. I don t smoke and have taken antihistamines that help sometime, but not always.

In my opinion you are having pneumonia (lung infection) or bronchitis.
I am suspecting this because of
1. Coughing
2. Yellow sputum production.
3. Shortness of breath.
4. Fever
So better to consult Pulmonologist and get done Chest x ray and Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) for the diagnosis and treatment.
Antihistamines alone will not work. You may need antibiotics and bronchodilators.
So better to consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
